Caitlin NorthernClinical Coordinator & Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Caitlin has over a decade of expertise working with children and families. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in Manhattan and completed her undergraduate studies at Seton Hall University, obtaining a dual-degree in Social Work and Social and Behavioral Sciences and minoring in Child and Family Studies and Psychology. Caitlin has certification through the Center for Anxiety & Behavioral Therapy for Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), the gold standard for treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Additionally, she incorporates Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) modalities to further assist children & families.

As the clinical coordinator for Flora & Associates, Caitlin is detail oriented & ensures every individual feels a warm presence and support before stepping through the door. She believes that while therapy can be perceived as intimidating and overwhelming, she is committed to meeting individuals where they are at by developing a comfortable and genuine space to facilitate conversation. Though we may not be in control of the environment and circumstances around us, Caitlin empowers her clients by working together to process and change how we can respond in a more effective way. She utilizes various treatment modalities to help navigate barriers and obstacles we all face in everyday life.

Caitlin is well-versed in working with individuals who have endured complex trauma and loss. She has a vast understanding of working with children and families within the foster care system and adoption-related/attachment issues. She has significant experience in case management within the child welfare system and navigating school, court and community resources and this brings a unique lens for assisting her clients in advocating and accessing their needs.

During her free time, Caitlin enjoys planning trips to new places, discovering new music, reading, following college basketball (Go Seton Hall Pirates!) and spending time with her family and dog, Louie.
