Flora & Associates LLC is accepting Clinical Intern applications for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. This internship provides graduate students with hands-on clinical experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. To ensure continuity of care for clients, interns are required to commit to a minimum of two consecutive semesters. Interns will gain experience working with diverse populations, facilitating therapeutic groups, and providing individual counseling under supervision.

Clinician Responsibilities

1. CLIENT CARE &
RETENTION

Providing evidence-based therapeutic services tailored to individual client needs. Maintaining consistent caseloads to support continuity of care, progress toward treatment goals, and strong therapeutic relationships built on trust and professionalism.

2. DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE

Completing clinical notes, reports, and documentation accurately and on time within the EHR system. Ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards, including proper coding, confidentiality, and up-to-date licensure requirements.

3. PROCESS
IMPROVEMENT

Applying current research and data-driven practices to enhance client outcomes. Identifying opportunities to improve clinical approaches, workflows, and treatment effectiveness while contributing to overall practice excellence.

4. CASELOAD
MANAGEMENT

Managing a consistent caseload aligned with part-time or full-time expectations. Ensuring sessions are scheduled effectively to maintain continuity of care and meet productivity standards while supporting client progress.

5. TRAINING &
DEVELOPMENT

Participating in supervision, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Maintaining clinical competency through continuing education and applying new knowledge to improve therapeutic outcomes.

6. RISK
MANAGEMENT

Identifying and addressing clinical risks, including high-risk client situations. Escalating concerns to supervisors promptly and maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries at all times.

7. TEAM
COLLABORATION

Collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and leadership to support a positive team environment. Participating in meetings, contributing to discussions, and maintaining organized, client-ready spaces.

8. REPORTING &
COMMUNICATION

Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, families, and team members. Preparing reports and documentation that reflect clinical knowledge, accuracy, and adherence to therapeutic best practices.
