Alissa Paulison is a Licensed, Board Certified, Nationally Credentialed Art Therapist with over five years of experience providing art therapy services to adults, adolescents and children. She received her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy at New York University and is currently in the process of earning a second Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. Alissa has extensive experience working with adults in inpatient psychiatric settings, including specialized forensic and dementia units. She also has experience servicing clients in supportive housing, school, shelter and juvenile hall settings. Additionally, Alissa spent time in Florence Italy providing art therapy services at an adult day program for adults with specialized needs. Alissa’s work utilizes client-centered and strength-based approaches focused on utilizing the creative process to promote self-reflection, self-esteem and healing.
