Andrea Jauh Licensed Professional Art Therapist
Andrea has over 10 years of professional experience as an art therapist. She received her Master of Arts in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University, and completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Linguistics and Fine Arts. Currently, Andrea is working toward further developing her knowledge about psychoanalysis.

Andrea’s career has been focused around providing both private and group art therapy to older adults with memory loss and cognitive impairment. She has also worked with children with special needs, and currently works primarily with children and adolescents. Although traditional therapy can feel daunting, Andrea’s use of creative interventions encourages her clients to be able to express themselves through art. Together, she and her clients work on developing nonverbal expression into verbalization of feelings, while also supporting independent thought and emotional strength.

In her free time, Andrea is an avid knitter, ceramicist, and lover of all crafts. She loves to travel with her family and is always eager to try new foods. One of her favorite things to do is soak up the sunshine with her dogs, Frosty and Benji!
