Alexa Robertiello-Poulter
Alexa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and certified school social worker. She received her undergraduate degree from Montclair State University where she majored in child advocacy and policy with a double minor in psychology and social work. She also holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Kean University.
Alexa’s specialties include working with preteens, teens and adults in both therapeutic and academic settings. She has extensive knowledge in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, school related challenges, social skills, grief, and overall life challenges. Alexa was also nominated for NJ Top Kids Doc in 2024.
Alexa’s goal is to support, and encourage her clients in understanding any underlying problems and work together to develop coping strategies to become the best version of themselves. Alexa knows every client comes from different backgrounds, and has different life experiences. Therefore, she believes in using an array of techniques specific to the client.
Alexa’s therapeutic approach is a strengths-based, person-centered approach. Her goal is to provide unconditional positive regard, validation, and empower her clients. Your sessions will be a place where you can be yourself, without judgment or fear. Alexa will be there to listen, to guide, and to celebrate your journey of self-discovery.
When Alexa is not working as a therapist you can often find her with her husband, two rescue cats, or her niece! She loves spending time working out, traveling, and cooking or baking.
